SRV turret targetting

What keys do commanders use to traverse the turret left/right and up/down?

I'm using an X52 HOTAS and find that whichever hat switches or joystick combo I use, it seems to act like a switch and the turret is uncontrollable.

I'd like to use the mouse, but I don't think that's possible.

Any ideas?

I use a x52 pro. I use one of the hats on the stick but also the mouse. Its fully possible.

I use mouse wheel up to target and middle click to enable/disable turret mode.

Much easier to aim with the mouse.

Huh? I use mouse. So I drive the SRV with the HOTAS but when I switch to turret I move my right hand to the mouse and use that instead.

I use the thumb mini joystick thingy on my X-56 stick. Works well enough.

On the CHPro Throttle, the thumb stick works just fine - maybe you are not assigning your X52's controls as axes?

1. Lock onto what you want to shoot.

2. Spray and pray while moving around until the laser hones in on it.

I concur; I use TM Warthog setup with pedals and have it set up for that. Makes aiming a snap while being able to still move about.
