SRV Variant

With the new geological surface signals and their annoying habit of spawning interesting things halfway up near vertical cliffs I suggest a new SRV variant the Hawker, named after the dragonfly, this would have similar range and capacities as the Scarab but instead of being a primarily wheeled vehicle with a limited jump/flight capability this would have the ability to fly and hover much like 21st century helicopters with a limited ground movement capability.

Instead of the Scarab's two lift motors the Hawker would have four allowing greater stability and control however it would have fewer or less robust wheels which would be articulated so that with the assistance of the motors it could alight on the walls of canyons to collect materials.

This or almost any additional variant of the SRV would be very much welcome, i would guess.

I think that even some variants of the base model, e.g. more cargo at the price of some hull, more speed at the price of cargo capacity, more shields at the price of speed, etc. would already go for a long way. They could even look somewhat similar, it would still be a great addition.
(And FD, don't forget: you could sell new paintjobs there! )

Always up for suggestions of new SRV types. We have 50+ commanders currently circumnavigating Kumay in Chi Herculis as part of the First Great Planetary Expedition and, aside from various paintjobs, it seems a shame we're all in identical vehicles.
