SSAA - FPS, Thoughts and Resolution Calculations

Thank you FD for putting in the SSAA Option.
I Played around with it since Public Beta, but to change it around in game is priceless!
I'm also happy for the uneven values now actually working.

With x1,5 and SSAA enabled the game looks much better on 1080p and still somewhat decently playable on my System.
x2,0 SSAA has too low FPS around and in Stations and moving my Head with TrackIR is getting me sick then.

SSAA to x1,0 i get around 74 FPS, on x1,5 is ~42 FPS and 2,0 is ~25 FPS with my R9 280.
(All Ultra Settings, inside the same place in the Station, with TrackIR disabled. FOV slider at around 85%)

I have made a few calculations to the resolutions,
because i was interested about the performance on other resolution monitors, and how they compete.
For that i calculated the total pixels and the amount of pixels the SSAA settings would have.
(So 1080p with SSAA x1,5 is less pixels then an 1440p but 2,0 would be more. 1440p would be 4x 720p.)
But i think the SSAA option takes more Power then a native resolution due downscaling,
because i only get 15 FPS on 4x 720p but 2x1080p is 25 FPS and has much more pixels.
(Im interested in AMD getting their Omega Drivers Downsampling Option to work with my Card.)

1280 x 720 = .921.600 720p
1920 x 1080 = 2.073.600 1080p (FullHD)
2560 x 1440 = 3.686.400 1440p (WQHD)
2880 x 1620 = 4.665.600 (1,5x one Axis 1080p - There seem no Panels available, but emulating monitors with 1440p panels)
3840 x 2160 = 8.294.400 4K

720p
x1,0 .921.600
x1,5 1.382.400
x2,0 1.843.200
x3,0 2.764.800
x4,0 3.686.400 (1440p WQHD)

1080p
x1,0 2.073.600
x1,5 3.110.400
x2,0 4.147.200
x3,0 6.220.800
x4,0 8.294.400 (4K)

One Axis:
720 x 1,5 = 1080p
720 x 2,0 = 1440p
720 x 3,0 = 2160p (4K)

1080 x 1,5 = 1620p
1080 x 2,0 = 2160p (4K)

So what are your experiences with the new SSAA option?
Do you use it? What are youre FPS?

When I try to use SSAA, with a factor of only 1.25 (can be changed to anything manually in the configuration file directly), my GPU still causes a graphics reset even when not overclocked, freezing the game in the process. Maybe I should put a better cooler onto it ;) It's a Palit GTX 780 Super Jetstream, btw.

One thing i noticed is that above x2.0 some textures not load.
On x3.0 SSAA the Pilot and Controls, the Seat Thrusters (or whatever it is) and some parts of the station has only blurry textures.
But i think the VRAM of my 3 GB Card was not entirely full (not sure if my monitor program is that exact though).

Forgot to reset the overvoltage and power target of my GPU. Works beautifully now. Also shows that there is no overclocking potential at all if a game is really demanding. On the plus side, E:D with SSAA makes for a good GPU stability benchmark, until AMD and Nvidia put in artificial brakes that is.
