Someone must really have hated the Emperor to try and kill him while in a coma and then stab him on the wedding day. Serves the old right and I hope it was the Federation that sanctioned it. Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.

Denton Patreus has been loosely tied to both the murder attempt and the final murder, so suffice it to say, he's an enemy to the Empire in my eyes.

My guess this event now solidifies Aislings claim to the throne, and seeing that they've been dating that would make him Emperor. Arissa has a low chance of becoming Empress because she's sorta illegitimate.
