Staff are not waiting for their replacement to arrive before abandoning the ride/facility

I thought this was a fix/feature of the last patch? I'm still getting many notifications that rides/food/drink stalls are being paused until another staff member arrives. When I check it out, the staff member abandons the ride/facility before the replacement arrives, the replacement is on their way, a minute walk away or so, I thought they were supposed to wait now?

Yeah, this is a wording thing. They wait more for their replacement, but not overly long.

Example: your ride has a break at 12 o clock, in earlier patches it was almost like they og staff was taking its break at 12 o clock, now they have some tollerance to it and maybe wait till 12:30 - 12:40.

Actually it is a nice system, the major issue is that the staff schedule ui is so horrendous, that i prefer close rides before i could be bothered with that.

This issue was raised on Discord as well, the following reply / top was given by Frontier :

Staff will head towards rides/shops to relieve each other, however if your park is too big and the distance is too far, the original staff member will still leave their post at the allotted time. This is something that we are aware of and are looking to further improve. Adding staffing zones or building more staff rooms will help with this.

Thanks for the help! If they allowed me to allocate their zone right from their info panel like you can in every other game I would do this, but I am absolutely not faffing around with the horrendous UI of the full-screen staff scheduler and zoner 😅 😅

Is it realy to much to ask for such „features“ to be fully thought out and implemented in a way where we dont have to wait additional months for frontier to get our beta testing feedbacks and only then actually make the feature worthwhile?

This not so easy. I am with you there, when it comes to texture, etc. this is balancing issue. For my playstyle it is perfectly balanced, cause i hated the issue in the first place, so i managed against it.
Even it is not a competive online game (Franchise mode lol), balancing takes time and tries. Especially for PC 2, where you have a wide arrange of players, with diffrent playstyles. a planning and infrastructure nerd like me, likes those challenges, for the next it is immersion breaking.

The anger on that case, should probably more that they not overhauled the staffui, cause having something to balance in your own park, is what the clearly lacks.

I don't know it, but could this be a result of task assignment?
I'm imagining how the system might work...

Bin 1 is full -> janitor A gets the task to empty it. Then bin 2 is full -> janitor B gets the task to empty it.

Maybe without any location relation (bin 1 and bin 2 are next to each other, janitor A is close to the bins and janitor B is far away. While A has finished the task he will get a new one which is located close to B or anywhere else, while B still is on the way to bin 2).

This would fit to what I noticed with ride's staff... A needs a break B is walking by (looking for a task) but C (from the other end of the park) has the task to swap with A. So B will continue wandering...

All without staff schedule or staff zones.
Seems to be a thing of randomly assigned tasks...

Maybe Frontier could start to explain how some things are working/are intended to work.

But this doesn't answer my question, if it was broken again....you see mine and vampiro's explanation? this is how the stuff worked before, right now they again leaving at full time

Wasn't an answer to anybody.

I quoted my post from another thread were I was answering just before and it fits to this thread...
Just my conclusion what's the reason for the staff issues in general.

Would be stupid to auto assign tasks randomly, without any location relation...

Does anybody know how it's working?
If we would know, then it might be a bit easier to handle it.

the question is more, does frontier know how their own game works? apparently not :/
its absurd cause most of these issues can be noticed simply by sitting down for 2-3 hours opening random parks from others and watching them. but apparently thats just to much money and ressources for frontier to take on such a task...
