Staff energy wont replenish animals are dieing =(

Hi, since the update my staff cant get into staff-room and replenish their energy. As a result I have no staff to look after my zoo so all my animals are starving and dieing and habitat walls are breaking.Yes I have plenty of staff rooms all with power...yes I have work zones...yes the rooms and habitats are accessible. I have tried hiring multiple staff members for enclosures and the same thing happens. I have verified game files and nothing is helping...I cant even get my animals into quarantine =(. My game was fine yesterday and now its broken.

Apparently your not the only one I’ve also heard people on steam bringing this up. It’s a shame really it seems for every step forward frontier takes two steps back with some of the updates.

@paul78 , I read it on Steam to which is why I post here in hope that someone would see it. I cant play my game, I have 6 zoo's that I cant tend to due to this ( I only play franchise mode )...I have tried everything so I just have to hope they will see it and put out a fix.

There was a link to issue tracker on here somewhere. That’s about the only thing you could probably do right now.

Make a ticket on the issue tracker. Although sometimes it doesn't seem like it, Frontier does address it regularly. Just about all the latest updates in 1.1.4 and 1.1.5 were from the issue tracker.

Same problem here. Had a load of staff can't find a staff room notifications and look what I discovered outside a completely empty staffroom

not sure if it will help at all, but you can try two things;
1. Change the pathpiece just outside the staffroom from regular path to staff path.
2. Manually move the staff to just outside the staffroom door (that helps for me)
Worked for me! It took awhile to find that the issue was about the regular path created by buildings when not directly attached to a staff path.

@Arrakai ..I rebuilt the whole path..put on new habitat gate ...re positioned my staff facilities and its now working to...weird that it was working fine yesterday before the update

There is an (incredibly annoying) fix for this bug. If you pick each individual staff up and drop them directly at the door to the staff room, as close as you possibly can, they will walk into it, or they will walk to other staff rooms if the one they are going to is full. Whether or not this leaves your zoo playable is an issue you'd have to decide for yourself.

All of my sandbox zoos are broken today from this nasty staffroom bug. Sadly, replacing the path that directly connects the bldg to the staff path hasn't helped for me. Picking up and moving the worker didn't work for me either and it isn't really feasible anyway because it's happening to dozens of my staff. They're just standing still or walking in place. Has Frontier even acknowledged anywhere this bug and given any kind of feedback on whether they're working on it right now? I haven't seen anything but might have missed it.

No no, they have to be exactly, right on top of the door. Even slightly too far away and it won't work. I've only had it work by placing them as close as humanly possible to the door. It's really a tremndous pain either way.

I have the same Problem. I'm glad at least the Caretakers where able to stop the Epidemic in my Zoo from spreading trough bringing the infected Animals into the Quarantine-Center. I hope there will soon be a fix for this Bug. I don't want to imagine the Moment when Food gets scarce in the Enclosures because the Zookeepers can't do anything

Glad to hear that it worked! Even though it's not a permanent fix, it's at least something until they are able to fix it!
