Staff-Only Paths

Sorry if this has already been suggested, I did a quick search and did not find anything...

Anyway, with the staff building(s) in the upcoming update it seems to me that it would be really cool if we were able to place Staff-Only paths somehow. It would allow for us to have staff facilities and foot-traffic hidden from guests similar to how some real-world parks obscure their employee traffic.

Well, most suggestion about "Exit only" signs etc.

This is a good suggestion having exclusive paths for employees now when we gonna get their own facility. I don't think it is needed for making back lot paths though, because guests in Planet Coaster do not walk around randomly as earlier theme park games. They are programmed to go from A to B. No business, no walk.
However, if the ordinary streets clogs up with crowds, the employees might get stuck on their way back and forth to the restroom? Then there might be needed shortcuts and separate paths for them to use. Like how you can bypass shortcuts for ambulance and firefighters in Sim City games by building bridged roads. [rolleyes]

Yes I really hope they will add something like this! It would be very nice to have control over this and not having to find work-arounds in the whole system. You could of course not use them and let the staff/crowd figure it out, but I would love to have some sort of option of control in any way, shape or form to control the situation and get the most out of it. Also to me, building a backstage system sounds very interesting and I will have a ton of fun to keep everything hidden from the park guests.
I also would've liked to have the staff use a backstage door of the shop, instead of jumping over the counter, but alas. Although I am very excited that we are getting a staff building, I feel it was a missed opportunity to make use of staff paths that could link up to the backsides of shop buildings into a backstage area. But who knows, maybe that is something we will see in the future.. ?

So what happens when you create dead end paths with nothing on them? No benches, no shops, and no rides? Do the guests avoid that path then? So in RCT3 and earlier RCT's guests would complain of being lost, can that happen in PC? Are the guests smarter now than past RCT games? They will only use a path if there is something on it like a shop or ride?

I hope the Anniversary update adds in an immersion stat for the guests, like in Parkitect. Basically it is influenced by the guest's surroundings and it decreases is they find a vendor walking by them.

Pretty mush it. If a path have no facility, ride, bench or bin, no one will go there. Of course they can get lost. The new Planet Coaster peeps cannot handle the situation if you lead them out of a ride on a path not connected to the rest of the park. They just stop and will feel lost.
On all other ways, the guest are pretty smart. They plan the best way to walk or go by transport rides to were they wanna go. [up]

It has been suggested before, and I gladly support the idea for Staff-Only Paths in Planet Coaster. [up]

If possible, together with a technique used in Parkitect that will give guests a happiness boost if they can't see staff-only paths, although that would probably technically more challenging to do in Planet Coaster.
