Star catalogue duplication

Even in the Bubble it seems there are some stars that shouldn't be there! A-class stars are reasonably uncommon, but in the case of Beta-3 Tucanae, also known as Beta-3 Tucani, two separate populated systems some 80ly apart have been created in the game - when in reality there is only one star to represent.

The problem seems to have been caused by both the Gliese designation (Gl 9015) and the HIP/HD numbers being used separately, with slightly different coordinates from the two sources - or perhaps one or both of the sets of catalogue data was not converted properly to the Galactic Map. I wouldn't have noticed, but they put one of the Engineers at one of the doubled-up locations.

I've been finding a number of similar oddities recently, including invisible systems (you can search on the galmap and it takes you to them, but they aren't there; an example is HIP 97967 which should be a component of HIP 97966 but returns an invisible entry on the map; or HIP 113283 which I think should be a system in its own right) and cases where what should be one system with two distinctly catalogue numbered stars is split into two systems (e.g. MARSIK and KAPPA HERCULIS B should be a true binary, AIUI, but K H B is very far out of position and probably unvisited if someone is so inclined - you can only find it by searching on HIP 79045.) It's interesting trawling through them...

Very intriguing Jackie! Do let me know if you find any more interesting ones. When I'm back in the Bubble I might do a tour of them.
