Star Grind, Episode 7: Where No Jones Has Gone Before

Well, I finally did it. It took me a bit longer than planned. A bunch of annoying stuff like life got in the way but... here it is, a month later than planned, episode 7: Where No Jones Has Gone Before. And, if you all think this is all just a bunch of barbaric nonsense, well... be nice and allow me to keep my dignity. ;)

And another big thank you to Simon Holt (Spaceman Si) on the voice-work and Andy Moss (Sinister Hedgehog) on the fight scenes for their help with the silliness. Please give them some rep when you see them.

Enjoy. If you dare.

Well, actually, it's just CrazyTalk, no Animator. I know my closing credits claim Animator, but that's my mistake. Made back before I understood there was a difference between the two. Guess I should fix that.
Thanks for information, doesn't matter too much for me if CT or CTAnimator. I am always looking for tools like this, because my girls are always so creative and I, as a computer guy, always have to be the expert in questions like how to do this and how to do that :(:cautious::D

Well, be advised if you invest in the tool (CT not CTA): purchased as-is, it's useful for animating still-photos with limited results. Mostly, the face needs to be looking at the camera. Unfortunately, the more "advanced" features (3d heads) become even more limited, like a very poor selection of hairs. When you import and create a 3D head, they strip it naked and then you have to use their limited selection or invest in more money in a larger selection of more viable ones. And the limitations don't stop there.

That said, don't know much about CTA, but I suspect it suffers from a similar scheme where the options are limited but get better if you're willing to pay. This is certainly true for iClone, another of their offerings, that is also useful up to a point, but if you want more? Ya gotta pay more. :)

Hmmm.... not sure I understand this, since the vid is linked in my first post. Maybe an inside joke? No worries, just curious. :)
I think he means he saw the thread before, and came back to watch it but couldn't find this thread. Then when he finally found it he didn't have time to watch it but did have time to post in it so he can find it later (bookmarking works well also).

Ah. That makes sense. Never done that deliberately, but there are plenty of threads I've posted in that I've wanted to revisit and used that fact to find them.

I'm secretly waiting for someone to do a farscape themed video, nudge nudge.

Lol. :) Tempting. Been a long time since I watched Farscape. Maybe time for another viewing. Of course, as far as parodying it in a video? Maybe. Someday. :) First thing that popped into my mind when thinking about it was the "Listen gashole!" line. :D
