Watched the pilot and I have to say it's actually quite good

I hope so. Paramount's 80's/90's obsession with prosthetics was too much even before it looked dated.

it is quite good and even includes one cast member from TNG, Marina Sirtis as the voice of the computer.

Watched these last night. Really really good. If you liked the original series of Star Trek, then you'll like these. The look and feel is spot on, the acting is pretty good although it takes a while to get used to the new actors in the old characters.

I really hope they make their kirkstarter target of 100,000. 12 days and 24,000 to go..:S

Yes I saw this on KS today.

Watched a little of their first ep.

I'm used to Kirk being played by James Cawley though in the NEw Voyages series, there are 4 episodes now I think. Pretty good.

Hard to believe that its over 10 years ago that the last Next generation Movie was released.

Indeed by good man .. where did they go ?!

Have high hopes for the new ST team .. just wish Abrams would turn off the damn lens flares

That was to be the sequel to the original series but the idea got abandoned. We eventually got Star Trek The Next Generation. Can't recall any fan made thing with that title but could be wrong.

Yeah I immediately thought of New Voyages when I saw this.

This would be an excellent book to own now that Paramont has thrown out every bit of canon from the past 50 years, starting with the last series "Enterprise". In that series Picard had already gone back in time to stop the Borg and encountered Zefram Cochrane (First Contact-1996), which changed everything, from Earth's first run in with the Klingons to when the Federation was actually created. (and everyone says Kirk, Janeway and Nero did the most time-travel damage.)

Another good episode. Kirk is more and more Kirk like, his mannerisms voice etc. All performances are good too. Well worth a watch.

ummm no, if you remember in the film zefram was in two minds about informing the vulcans about the borg so tossed a coin to decide - cue the creation of the mirror universe.

in that universe when the borg first show up they were soundly beaten as (quote) "it's almost as if they were expecting them"
