Episode of it are also on the CD on the Sky At Night Magazine. I occasionally buy it down here. The middle section is changed for the southen hemisphere of course.
We have lots of amazing things down here like the Magellanic clouds, 11 circumpolar constellations (with 6 fist magnitude stars

) and plus we look into the galactic centre from our vantage point

but sadly we have no outstanding documentaries or amazing events like Stargazing Live.
In my state however, we have the largest astronomical society in the country with just over 1000 members. I know, small in number but then again so is our population. The entire country has only a small amount of astronomical societies, the UK numbers are amazing. I would need to drive over 900 kilometres to see the closest radio telescope. We don't have that many at all really.
It would be amazing if our station called ABC would be able to liaise with the astronomical societies and do something amazing like Stargazing live but sadly..........there is no budget. But we DO have an excellent podcast called Starstuff...that's about it really.
