Starpoint Gemini 3

The game is expected to be released before the end of the year (Early access) and hopefully in September.

Compatible with HOTAS?

Yes! From the developers. Everything they are testing with.

I'm realy looking forward to SPG3, I played the two previous titles too and they're verry good, especially considering how small a team LGM is.
They're one of the most player friendly devs I've ever met.

A definite buy for me.

Starpoint Gemini Warlords was pretty good. Don't expect to find a flight sim though. The games strengths and focus are others. Still, much better than most other space games.

Not exactly what I was expecting. Anyway I will try on September 5th.

I've watched this video too and I know it's way to early to form an honest opinion but to be frank I'm not that impressed.
The voice over sounds rather.....erm immature imho and the character's faces look a bit 1990s graphics wise.
It's still in early access so a lot can change but watching this video I got the feeling that LGM should have stuck to the more strategy kinda game like the previous ones, I enjoy those a lot.

We'll just have to wait and see how SPG3 developes, LGM is a very dedicated team.

I too felt a large amount of disconfort with the voice acting... A bit cringy, too "guardians of the galaxy" for my taste...

After happily playing Starpoint Gemini Warlords, which had a large strategic layer and overall felt like a first person playable space RTS, the amount of goofiness and cartoon voices in this trailer left me very unimpressed...

But like you said yourself, it's still far too early for conclusions, but my previous enthusiasm for this release was cut in half....

Just caught the tale end of a stream for this. Free-roam looks o.k. ship interiors aren't bad at all and it seems to be a pretty large world/space to play in. I haven't played any Starpoint games, but may give this one a try.

Exactly, I realy like SPG2 and Warlords, that's why I was wondering if it wouldn't have been better if they stuck to that genre.
A space rpg with a strong character presence is something completely different than a deep strategy game with hardly any character interaction.

But as I said things might get improved and the actual gameplay could be good, personally I think Rebel Galaxy Outlaw will be a very strong competitor.
To bad that one isn't released on Xbox though.

I really don't recommend anyone to get the game now unless you want to support development or enjoy the best price. Briefly I would say the game is not exactly an early access but rather a (very) alpha build. Visually it is very beautiful. Flying the ship in the cockpit works very well. It has resolution support up to 2560x1080. I couldn't make my Hotas work but the mouse and keyboard control is perfect, far superior to RGO for example. But there is practically nothing now, just following a story for almost two hours. Free Roam is empty.

And the main character's behavior / voice acting was a bad choice.

I never buy games in early access, did that once and bumped my nose, but I was seriously thinking of doing so with SPG3, just to support this great and dedicated developer.
After seeing this first early access video though I think I'm gonna wait a while and see how it turns out.

The main character lines are unberable, and he looks like character importer from old version of Poser :ROFLMAO: They clearly dont have a tech to make a character it seems, I think it would be better with out 3d representation at this point. But the game is kind of fun already, just waiting till they pout more to do in the freeroam mode.
