they are "real" objects that you can travel to and it would be possible to supercruise to them :smilie:
Yes and no.
They are real in the sense that these stars are placed accurately in the sky depending on where you are in the galaxy. When you jump between systems the sky will change accordingly to reflect your new position.
You will most likely not be able to travel between them in the final game due to the fuel mechanic. Unless we are talking about star systems with multiple stars that is...that is already possible in the current version of the game.
Nebulas aren't in yet, but they are being worked on as we speak. So far there are only stars, the Milky Way and other galaxies rendered in the sky.

Part of the fuel scooping aspect involves being able to collect from gas clouds, so I imagine we'll see something soon. I don't know if we'll see the scifi colerful nebula in the background in most cases though, nebulae are like a very thin fog, up close you can tell there's something there, but it's hard to see close or not. But there might be circumstances where lighting and arrangement make it more apparent.
