Ok so it's not going to appear in Elite Dangerous (unless they hire me lol) but here's my latest creation with Lightwave.

Frankly, if anything arrived, with hostile intent, we are all boned.

Not even taking into account the vast gulf in our respective technologies, it wouldn't be particularly difficult to exploit the political differences here and let us all kill each other.

Not really sure why a space ship would need to look like a weird single seater fighter jet.

I would have thought a more logical design would be based upon a sphere.

Several layers to provide different levels and increase space.

Possibly with a large core, generating gravity, say an artificial singularity contained within an artificial gravity field.

That would have the advantage of unlimited energy as well.

Propulsion would use sling shot where a short burst, narrow beam of intense gravity could be directed at a large mass to initiate momentum.
