Start again?

If you can afford it, I would recommend buying another CMDR.

The advantage is that when you get bored with one CMDR you can switch to the other. You can also have them at different locations doing different things.

Plus it is enjoyable starting out from scratch again.

I must confess that I have four CMDRs now. Three in the bubble and one at Jaques.

My latest one, during the last few weeks I have worked up to Novice with 6m credits and an A rated Cobra. But I am thinking of rebooting this CMDR and starting again. I think it's great fun starting out in the Sidewinder with almost nothing.

And no, I'm not a salesman for FD! I just love this game.

Launching from Trevithic in a shiny new Freewinder with no rep, no history, no enemies and nothing to lose is refreshing - plus you get to keep your knowledge, so you know where to go for the 1,000cr-a-ton-10-minutes-each-way trade routes and you keep your "actual" combat skills.

I've wiped my save 8 times in two years. I wiped it after my first 2 weeks where I played in Solo to learn the game before moving into Open. I've wiped when major updates come out and I've wiped it several times for Iron-Man(ish) reasons (killed back to Trevithic too many times == unlucky commander).
