Started going towards Beagle Point...

How dangerous is the Abyss for Krait Phantom with 55 ly jump range and 32 unit reserve fuel tank? 4 times premium jumponium available now....

Well, you probably have to do some manual plotting in shorter steps. When I've been there with a ca. 50+ ly Asp X the route plotter didn't want to plot all the way through it. But it was certainly possible to bridge the gap without boosting jump range.

Yeah, I had similar experience in a 50ly AspX. Had to get closer to BP than expected before it would plot a course. Once course was plotted it was simple though. I suppose worth checking you can scoop, but that's obvious.

I went to BP with my Phantom, 65ly jump range and 16 ton fuel tank. Note not a 16 ton reserve, just a 16 ton tank, it's almost irrelevant what size fuel tank, if your tank gives you 3 full length jumps it's plenty. You are only 55ly range so you will get more full range jumps out of the tank anyway, but 55ly is plenty.

I'd also recommend popping over to Ishum's Reach whilst you're out that way. BP feels a bit touristy, a bit like Lands End in the UK. Ishum's Reach really does feel like the far side of the galaxy. You will need your jumponium for that but it is well worth it.

Hmm seems attainable, maybe I try that too :D

One thing to do is to stock up on plenty of Jumponium, it's handy for long jumps and can also get you out of tricky situations, I usually carry a full load, enough for over 130 premium injections, that's enough to treat it just like another form of fuel. If you get in trouble and find you have run yourself short of fuel for the next jump using premium jumponium to jump a short distance uses far less fuel, so even if you are running on vapour a premium injection may get you that next short jump to a scoopable star.

In the old days CMDRS used to look up how many jumponium injections they would need for these places and run around stocking up for a few days until they had enough, but now it's so easy to come by don't be reticent in taking a full load and using it.

I usually carry hefty reserve tank, and keep it topped as much as possible. Having big fuel scoop allows me to fuel nearly as fast as it takes to run around star to line up for next jump. I'm stopping in this trek about every place having decent amount of arsenic, thats currently most limiting resource for me in jumponium synthesis...

Material traders in the bubble solve that problem, if you max your other grade 4 mats from crystal spike sites it's easy to get plenty of asrenic through the mat traders.

Ye need to go to the biological crystalline thingies.
You could max all your jumponium recipes in couple weeks i believe. Respawn time ye know.

The trip to Beagle Point directly will be fine for you. You should try to reach Ishum's Reach/Semotus Beacon while there. 4 Premium Jumponiums isn't really that much for an explorer as it really only gives you two jumps. Two jumps out and two jumps back.

You're fine for now, but once near Beagle Point I'd say get the SRV (if you have one) and grind a little jumponium. 40 should do you ok, 20 jumps out and back or to get out of sticky situation when fuel might be low as some pointed out.

Reached today both Beagle Point and Ishum's reach. To Beagle Point travel was very effortless, fuel was never an issue, and I managed to get route from 300 jumps away. Ishum's Reach needed some jumponium jumps, but otherwise easy as well. Seems to me that my ship is somewhat good long distance traveller after all. Now return journey, exact route is still open question, but maybe I'm stopping at Colonia region.
