Started going towards Beagle Point...

Perhaps I had luck. My rough route was from Bubble to Explorers Anchorage, then Sag A, and straight line towards Beagle Point, at Formorian Frontier I managed to get route fix for automatic plotter to the Beagle Point, and that just worked out. Route to Ishum's Reach of course needed manual plotting :D

At return journey now. BTW distances in Abyss are way longer than what map tells. Real routes at least for my ship took very many turns and do not really run in straight line.

With 55ly jump range, you can just blast across the abyss, no problems.

That depends on what part of the Abyss. I had a few interesting days crossing back from Beagle and needed a LOT of top level jumponium, just slightly to the West of what I now presume to be the normal crossing route. That was in a 54Ly Krait MkII.

I'm currently at back journey from Ishum's Reach, managed to get route fix back to Formorian Frontier, but lets say navigation system needed to do some creative solutions :D Route twists and turns up and down, east and west....

When you're almost at Beagle Point, make sure you have some premium jump boosts saved up, as this will save you much hassle in the final stages of getting to BP.

Was not a problem for me. Trip to Beagle was easy, only point where I needed jumponium was trip to Ishum's Reach. One jump needed premium jumponium. Others went with basic stuff.

Im going to let paint be worn out in...it gives nice character to ship...

Excellent!
I'm having to manually plot across the Abyss whilst mainly following Route 33.
If you're still in the area, I'd be curious if this route I made for myself starting from Route 33, but made more direct, works for you to auto-plot from one bookmark to the next and previous. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...-to-beagle-point-for-35ly-jump-ranges.514888/

No worries, if you don't want to bother with it. Just been meaning to get back and test it out sometime for lower jump ranges.

...

And congratulations on your trek, OP. o7
