Newcomer / Intro Starting location? (aka, I am a twit)

Hello experts (and fellow noobs),

I'm wondering if there is a universal starting location? I have done a little googling, and due to possible short term memory problems (blame the night shifts I've just come off; nurse) I am not convinced that it was Azeban outpost. Reason being, I've traversed the universe for many light years figuring out the controls, and would like to collect my Eagle. Which I know is near to my starting location. THAT, I remember...

If you look on the Galaxy map there should be a ship icon in the system your stored ships are. System view will show where in system. I also think any shipyard facility will tell you where your stored ships are
