Starting Missions While Election Still Pending?

I was looking for information as per the title.

I read an article on Reddit by a guy who was advising that starting missions for a faction in a state of election while the election is still pending is a good way to get a head start on the other faction? Does anyone know if that is true please or is it a waste of effort by doing so in advance of the election becoming live?

Thanks very much.

Sounds like old info?

When conflict was won by influence, it helped to get as much distance in terms of influence as possible before the conflict went live.

But these days, with each day of conflict being the sum of the actions done on that day, I don't see much point to it. If the type of mission you prefer doesn't/rarely spawns during election, then sure, grab some before it goes live... or have the means to hand in a bunch of missions on day 1 all set... but that's not really going to have much overall impact.

- the info above might be heavily outdated, if it refers to handing in missions before election started (some years ago you could win any conflict with enough actions pre conflict, that's luckily gone).

- you can sign up and fullfill missions when influence is locked, but they will count toward the election only if handed inafter election goes live.

- there are several mission types with longer timers which are perfect for that, and you can prestack on the tick pending. but missions are counted daily during election, so ... not overly usefull, if you have no problems getting missions you like to do.

... actually irrc it was about gaining as much ahead as possible, so war or election was already won, and using the war to get the opposition again in reach to trigger the next conflict 🙀
