Hi,

Just a quick question, not sure if its been answered anywhere else, did a quick search and couldnt find it. Sorry if it has.

Does everyone start in the same place? Im aware that you get the choice of normal or horizons starts but would like to know if once youve chosen out of those whether a start point is randomly generated or if there are only one or two.

The reason I ask is my copy arrived today and Im chomping at the bit to get started but my friend has to wait until the weekend to start (hes away on business). If we both choose the same type of start will we start in the same place?

only 2 starting points afaik.

there is no reason to wait - you can always fly back.

or you can clear yor save after a few hours and start fresh, after already havig a couple of hours in the game. as learning curve is steep, i'd probably do that if i want to start with a friend.

However, when you first start, you are in your own instance. You don't truly enter "Open" play until you jump out of the starting system.
