EMPEROR ARISSA RESCUED, IMPERIALS REACT. A ENRAGED ADMIRAL LAVIGNY STORMS SENATE FLOOR DURING HEARING

When the Imperial Herald broke news to citizens of the Empire, and to the Galaxy, that the Emporer had been recovered from year long captivity, such news brought fourth a slew of emotion, criticisms, concerns and questions from the Imperial population. Especially of matters concerning Imperial Sovereignty and internal corruption from within the highest echelons of Imperial government.

Many Imperials are angered and troubled by the fact that those closest to Her Majesty's presence, especially those of Her security detail, were ignorant or complacent, of Her kidnapping by the hands of NMLA benefactors and held for over a year in secret by Darkwater Inc. in the Summerland system.

This has led many from within the Empire to have a loss of confidence and mistrust in the domestic intelligence capabilities of the Imperial Internal Security Service [IISS]; an agency in which reports directly to the Emperor Herself. Critics and conspiracy theorist cited how could the IISS report to the Emperor, and not know that their leader is being held captive?

Captain Saskia Landau, IISS Captian, Affiliated Counter-Terrorism [ACT] Co-leader and representative of the Empire within the joint-counter terror unit, quickly addressed the criticisms. Stating, the IISS report breifings are delievered to Her Majesty during Senatorial hearings, all of which she appeared to be good health and spirits. Lastly stating, "However, yet, we were all decieved."

Governor Milo Peck, regional governor of the Emperor's most dominant and populated territory, spoke with NCN Agents at the grounds of New Carthage Captial Plaza:

It is truly egregious to me that this secret was kept for over a year & hidden so well, especially considering how the Senate was able to stay in contact with Her. Not only does this confirm that the NMLA has infested themselves within the highest, most sacred positions of Imperial government, but those in power & in charge of the Emperor's well-being have sympathized and radicalized by NMLA ideology. With the arrest of Senators Alberto Gereon, Karl Nerva, & Ursula Torquatus, we are only seeing the beginning of the NMLA root that has dug itself so deep into our government.

As the Emperor recovers under the watchful eye of the Imperial Palace medical team from the physical effects of repeated cryostasis cycles, the Imperial Senate has gathered on Achenar over the past 4 days on how to move forward. Today, witnessed on public stream-casts of Senatorial debates, a lone Admiral Lucius Lavigny, second cousin to Emperor Arrisa, stormed the senate floor enraged at the lack of urgency and contempt displayed by the Imperial Senate the past week.

Senate security personnel stood awestruck, unknowing how to address the situation, appearing to fear to lay hands on a standing Admiral and one of Duval blood as Senators shouted to at them to maintain decorum. Admiral Lavigny took the podium, with a voice filled of condemnation.

Disgraces, Cowards, Failures ... TRAITORS

That is all I see before me; self-serving so called "Senators", cowardly guards who dare not do their job for fear of there failure being exposed, and traitorous Marlinists hiding as wolves among the sheep that are this Senate. Despite your utter incompetence and miserable lack of action. Our glorious Emperor has returned and with Her the fires of Imperial justice that will cleanse these halls.

Hear me well. For my family's name sake, honor demands retribution. Not just for the Duval name, but for the Empire as a whole. Lavigny's Legion will purge all Imperial territory of these traitors and cowards from the borders of Mazahuanses to Capitol itself. There will no moon, no planet, no system far enough to hide. After Admiral Lavigny gave his remarks to the Senate, the chamber floor was silent and he departed from the premises. Some Senators after the ordeal expressed concern of the Admiral potentially coordinating a unauthorized strike against Darkwater Inc. in Summerland with his 528th Legion, and other assets of the Imperial Navy. The Praetor Council of the Legion has not been responsive to inquires on whether they will allow the current investigation complete, or strike if given the command.
