Station Advertisements

I hope this has never been submitted as an idea I tried a search but couldn't find anything similar. If this isn't original then sorry for repeating this idea.

Here goes

How about FD getting true advertisements to put in front of the stations instead of the fake ones. These adverts could be geo-specific to the players so they would be valid for each player per their region. This could increase the amount of revenue that FD would receive for further development (and maybe totally abandon micro transactions re ship skins)

I remember this idea was used in EA's Battlefield 2142 on the billboards in the game and they would change from time to time.

Sorry again if it is a stupid idea or someone else said it before me just my 2c.

Apparantly, FD sneaked it into the eula, thinking no-one reads such things, but they forgot what Elite players are like. The eagle-eyed saw it straight away!

We'll see what FD do with the idea.

build a game centered on immersion and insert real word ads? ****** that. Put em in the launcher by all means, but keep em out of the game.

Also note the eula, an option for our info to be provided to 3rd parties. if used we become the product. not a relationship i want with any company, particularly when i paid for the privelege.

ED has lineage of companies in it's Elite lore. Just because FD has clause in EULA doesn't mean they will use it in the end. They just want to leave doors open, and that's totally fine with me.

What I am quite sure of that FD won't do 1:1 advertising in the game. If there will be adverts, they will be stylized and polished to fit in ED universe. Which btw I can totally accept and live with.

EULA clauses about in-game ads is a standard. It doesn't mean devs use this chance.
