Station attacking police?

Anyone else notice their station attacking the local police forces/system authority vessels?

Weirdest thing, for the last 3 days in 51 Arietis at Dillion hub I've been seeing police/authority ships being shot down by the station, endlessly.

Some sort of bug, or is it tied in with the fact there is conflict zones in the system?

One of them hit the station, the station took offence to it like it would with anyone shooting at it. The rest is just great to sit back and watch.

Haven't seen it much myself but I have seen others mention it here.
I would kinda like it though if it was related to a system being at War.

That doesn't explain it happening for three days straight.

Is the station in an Anarchy/Lawless system? Have seen it happen several times around them where the police spawn and the station immediately begins shooting them down.

Nope, not lawless. And the authorities being shot down are showing up as clean too

I saw this too earlier today. It was quite surreal.

I also liked the chatter that the system authority vessels were coming out with as they died: "My friends will avenge me!" Yeah, right.

i saw it at stevenson 2 days ago when i went to collect the ce award, i'm a bit worried perhaps the virus from the black hand gang got out and is spreading, sure would explain both the npc and non-npc irrational behavior this past week...

The station is so board with being scan-rammed, it is just shooting any that get too close.

It may be a bug, but stations can very rarely be attacked by multiple NPC. Its totally pointless, but fun anyway. Is there a civil war?

There is, and a warzone near the planet the station is orbiting, so the thought crossed my mind that this might simply be to give a sense of the war going on, even though the actions are pointless

I found a station in the middle of a civil war CZ one time...that was fun to go into. I was dodging fire from BOTH sides flying in, and there was bits & pieces of dead ships EVERYWHERE. I've noticed a few stations that are just randomly killing any NPC that launches from the pads inside. Its a bit...surreal when there's dead Type 9s, Anacondas, and numerous small ships raining down on the inside of the station! Makes getting out in a hurry dangerous too...too much wreckage to boost out of the slot. Cool effect when you're in the hangar though...all you hear is constant weapons fire, followed by lots of banging sounds as the chunks of ship splatter down onto the pads.
