Station Communication

I can understand why Frontier does not want galaxy/system player communication. I do think station communication is needed; to make friends, group up, help for noobs, have a chat about trade and stuff, listen in as a pirate for any juicy talk from the traders ;)

It's getting a little lonely out there . . .

Well, they intend to expand stations to become an area we can move around in after disembarking so it's certainly on the cards.

i think the problem there is when people are docked is when they go and do things like use the loo or make a cuppa, in station communication could therefore be very frustrating as it may end up looking like people are ignoring you.

You can say this about almost any form of modern communication so its a moot point

true, but if people are flying around in system they WILL be at their computers, not always the case when in dock.

besides i think we will see the social side of the game develop when we can start posting our own jobs on the BBS, asking for escorts and such.
