Station Dethrottling

So i'm in love with the new supercruise assist module, however there's one small thing I think it's missing. That would be destination dethrottling for more than just hyperspace jumps. If it could zero me out upon arrival at a station or other navigation target, it would save me a lot of credits from ramming my ship into the side of the station or asteroid. ;)

No SC assist is cruise control - you still need to be in control once you get there.

Go afk while flying to a station you crash into it - good learn to pay attention.

I'm all for aids and this will be on my explorer but there's a limit to what the computer should do for you.

I'm all for player engagement, but if I just spent a bunch of time mining at an asteroid belt or out bounty hunting and I supercruise assist back to the local station, it would be nice to be able to run and grab a drink or pee. It already drops me out of cruise, why can't it zero the throttle?

If I get interdicted that's on me, but something as simple as coming to a stop after an assisted supercruise wouldn't be gamebreaking imo.

What you need is voice attack, a plugin can read the player journal (most of the games events) You can create a command to zero the throttle once it detects a supercruise dropout.

Not really something I need, but I'll look into how the command could be created. You could ask over at the HCS forum. http://forum.hcsvoicepacks.com/

Because basically then the next step will be "why can't it autoengage the docking computer."

You have decisions, go before engaging wait and go while docking (which is what I do) quite simply the cruise control disengages and leaves your speed in the blue just as every other drop from SC does.

+1.
I'm totally agree with the OP.
If I have to super cruse for more that 10,000ls then I don’t want to return from unpacking my dishwasher / mopping my floor / putting the garbage out / paying my bills / hanging out my washing etc… etc… to find a ‘SHIP DESTROYED’ notification…

I use VoiceAttack for a lot of things, I'll have to look into this. Thanks for the tip!

That when it time for you to use good old common sense and LOG OFF while you are AWAY from the game. See your Idea even with a full load of Void Opal worth around 300,000,000 to a 1,000,000,000 credits depending on the shipload. We would have so many Pitty party players whining on the Forums about how much they lost. All because they think the game should play itself why they are AWAY from the game.
