Station entrance marker

Could you move the station's name label to the position of the docking port?

That way I could see immediately which end of the Coriolis space station to go to. At the moment, if you disengage and appear around the centre of the station, there's a period of head-scratching and general faffing about before you work out where you're supposed to go.

I dont know if you noticed by now BUT if you take thoses cubish stations into your target, youre able to see the Station as small sized Version to the left of your Radar. on that model youre able to tell where the entrance is since its marked with arrows on it

The entrance is always on the side that is spinning anti clockwise.
If it is orbiting a planet it is always(?) on the planet side. so I have been told, but I just look at the rotation as soon as I come out of cruise.

I made this a while ago for someone else, you may find it useful... :)

The entrance is where the arrows point to when you look at the station in the target view after targeting it.

Notice the arrows projected on the sides of the station:

Thank you all for your suggestions, but respectfully, I feel you may be missing my point.

I can work it out, but it I think it would be better if I didn't have to.

Has nobody here ever gone to the wrong end?

I went to the wrong end a couple of times before I learned how to find the correct end.
I like it to be a bit complicated. It's like in real life. If you're driving your car in a new city there are going to be tons of weird stuff that makes you wonder why on earth they did it that way. Compared to Earth 2015, the Elite universe in 3301 is suprisingly standardised :)

You miss the point in the response : I have play the first Elite and now I find it very easy to go to the good end. They have implemented solution for it. I don't feel the need for more.

Before you exit supercruise, head towards the planet so that the station (on your compass) appears at the very top/north, so you are between the planet and the station, then steer straight up.

This way you will always be on the docking side, the better you do it, the more you will be facing the docking port.

Trick is - the port is always facing the planet its orbiting.

In the very rare case that there is no planet, or other astral body... then it is facing the nearest sun.

Great tip CMDR Jobedy, thanks! These details seperate impatience and impulsiveness from just learning the nuances that make players more experienced pilots.
