Howdy!
I've once again hopped into an Imp. Cutter for some bulk trading, gotta support my ship buying/selling habbit ya' know... and I keep running into the same problem each time I fly the Cutter, I don't remember if I've had this issue with other ships or not so...
Anywho, when we are on approach to land, we have a light-blue display directly above our scanner UI that shows us which landing pad we've been assigned to, & how much time we have to dock and/or undock. What I'm starting to get really peeved at, is this light-blue display being directly over some of the Cutter's dashboard graphics that are also... light-blue.
The first number of the landing pad id... is directly over a same-colored oval like texture on the dashboard, which makes it nearly impossible to see that first number 99% of the time.
Typically, I wouldn't think it would be a problem considering that the Cutter can only land on Large pads, of which there are only so many, and their id number never changes, BUT, it's not always as easy as remembering what pad numbers are strictly for the large. I mean, I know if I can't see the first number, and the second number is "7", then it's 17, because it's the only large pad ending in a "7".
However, there are the following:
02 & 32
09 & 39
10 & 40
I'm sure there are some that may not be too concerned about this issue, but seriously, there is really no reason that the light-blue display can't be raised UP some, just to get it away from the dashboard on all ships, making it easier to see. I mean, it IS important information after all.
It's difficult enough as it is trying to land such a large ship without being able to see the holographic landing pad number that floats in the air...
So, my suggestion is to either change the color, position, or font size of that light-blue docking/undocking display to make it easier to see. -OR- Change the color of any ship's dashboard textures so that NO information popup display can easily blend in with the background. (ie, the 2 blue ovals on the Cutter's dashboard could easily be changed to green or... purple... something not the same color).
Unrelated to the display blending in thing... Why do we not have the ability to see our attitude when landing on/in space stations, but we do when landing anywhere on a planet, including planetary bases???
Seeing the orange holographic outline display of our ship in relation to the ground is not exactly foolproof, and the UI already exists, it's just not active unless on a planet. I'm sure someone will chime in and say it's because we need gravity in order to have attitude, such as when being planet-side... but, we DO have some form of gravity thanks to the Coriolis effect while in a station. Besides, this is the future, I'm sure there can be an attitude display that is 'relative' to whatever is under the ship.
Just sayin'.
I know these aren't game breaking, but they would be ok QoL changes for sometime down the road perhaps.
Otayo, that's all from me!
