Newcomer / Intro Stations not marked on System Maps?

So I've been exploring like crazy, and turning in cartography data. I've been to a LOT of systems.

I had one system though, that had a station that wasn't marked on the system map, but was listed in the contacts list. I went there and was refused permission to dock. Seemed kinda shady. Probably faction-related.

Are there secret stations like these? Or just a bug in the game?

Never heard of that before. Could be a bug, could be a thing... Who knows? lol. Interesting

There are unsanctioned outposts and the like, and I believe that they sometimes don't show up on the system map until you use your discovery scanner on them.

If you check the system map and figure out who owns it you can usually find that faction in surrounding systems and bases and earn enough rep to get in.
