Station's resupplying their inventory?

Has anyone figured out if/when/how a station resupplies? Have you ever gone back to one of your depleted routes to find it restocked and if so how long has it been?

I was thinking of how cool it would be if FD introduced jobs in the game. Where we could specialize in one or two jobs and earn credits and/or perks to certain aspects of the game. One job in particular was refilling popular trade goods in certain systems. There are many ways this could be done and it would have most the mechanics already in place from existing game.

That was just a thought but was wondering if anyone has seen a resupply in any systems? No need to name your system ofc... :)

Depending on the population and wealth, my route involves 2 huge pop wealthy stations and with 600 commanders exploiting it, outside of US & Europe prime time (which happens to be MY prime time) the supply prices has recovered enough (and demand price increased enough) to add up to 300-400 cr profit / roundtrip on Imperial Slaves and Palladium back and forth. So recovery time is quick enough. I sometimes play as US primetime ends and instead profit decreasing with every trip, it's inreasing (in an trade spec. Anaconda, which on tiny/low pop poor stations would annihilate the market with just 1 trip)!

I've seen supplies/demands increase while working a route if I seem to be the only one, or one of a few, on that route. But I haven't really noticed a specific time/rate of production/consumption at stations.

I wonder if we(I'm sure it'd have to be many) could do enough trading/missions in a small populated area to have another faction catch their eye and move(teraform?) in to increase population, supply and demand if it was a place that had good... goods at good prices?
