Stations Way Out There?

I was about 600ly from Sol and didn't find any stations. However, I did find pirate ships with no scoops.
Are there stations and I missed them?

600Ly away in another system? Yes, there a countless stations out there. Some stars have none though. Look for systems that are imperial/federal/anarchy/independent etc... If the system lists nothing in allegiance/government in it's description, it's likely empty.

600Ly inside the SOL system without using a frame shift jump? You crazy.

I'm surprised you're seeing any pirates 600 ly out. Last I checked they stopped spawning well before that. But don't worry, go a bit farther out, you won't find anyone.

It would be very cool if there were a few stations out there in the mists. What an awesome discovery those would make!

Shame there are no stations. I know only within a spherical distance of Sol is most sensible, but I'd like to fly 1000s of light years out there and find something there. Came in here to check. I'm about 500 LY from Sol and not seen anything for a while.

The NPC ships just spawn out of nowehere.
I went to a ringed Ice world 150 Ly from the closest populated system. I was the first one to discover the planet. Upon dropping out at the ring, I am greeted by an Imperial Clipper. Then I see an Adder, and a Viper pirate.

Found a USS in a completely unexplored system. I drop out, finding two Eagle pirates and a Type 6.

For the most distant populated system from Sol, I think that's Quince. I'm currently on the way there.
