Thought I would see how well Elite was doing against another flight sim. World of Warplanes was not available for this comparison.

Steam stats again? This has been pointed out many times, but worth repeating again - not all ED players use Steam therefore Steam stats mean nothing.

Arcade Air combat "simulation" with no cockpit view in 1st place. No wonder steam users won't like Elite. Wouldn't touch War Thunder with 20 ft pole.

There is a cockpit view in WT...also there's Sim mode. It's not as advanced as some proper sims, but it's far from arcade.
Not to defend WT too much - barely anybody play Sim mode there. I guess if you want proper WWII aerial combat you play Il-2.

To OP. Also, I probably fail to connect the dots here - how does it compete with Elite?

Can you prove that? Steam has never throttled my speed or severed my connection.
