Stealth Hauler

Has anyone noticed that the hauler seems to be extremely stealthy?
I turn off my shields and leave everything else turned on and my temperature drops to 0
Engines are still on and I'm going full speed, the only thing that brings my temperature high again is using Boost.
I've ticketed it just in case it's a bug.

I think you can also do this by turning off your Frame Shift Drive and Cargo Scoop. If you get below a certain power-usage threshold you seem to cool down quite quickly.
Added bonus is that you still have shields, but I believe they increase your scanner signature when they're on, so maybe not as stealthy overall.

Yes, without testing this based on another player's perspective, you may think you're stealthier than you really are. Past tests have shown that with your drive on, you're still on the scanner, just not lockable by targeting weaponry. Subject to hopefully change and improve in the future.

I'm not sure if ship mass is fully implemented yet, but I imagine the Hauler has a high mass and low power output. More mass usually means a bigger surface area to dissipate the heat from the power plant.

Compare that to the Viper for example which I imagine has more power output and less mass to dissipate it from, thus it burns with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns just by switching on the dashboard.

I've seen scattered evidence to support the possibility that drives being "ON" at all generates a non-heat signature as well, unless you're in Silent Running.

Do we know for certain that heat % is the only variable in sensor signature, or could there be other factors?
