Stealth mechanic and active pinging in supercruise

Is there any stealth benefit to being able to deploy heatsinks in supercruise? I get that we can jump while scooping if about to be interdicted by pooping a hs, but I really would like to see some sort of stealth mechanic in supercruise with its counterpart actively pinging, maybe even a special sounding dscan to look for silent running ships in sc. Just a thought.
 
In supercruise you're a hyper-energetic glowing beacon and can't hide. Deploying heatsinks is only useful there if you flew too close to the sun and your waxen wings are due to melt away.
 
I'd like to see a 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D Stealth Systems module rather than relying on the "turn it all off, hold your breath and wrap up in a blanket" method we have now.
But that's just me I suppose.
 
I just wish there was a stealth mechanic for SC. I think that would really add to the gameplay if you could move around in stealth. Less people opting for solo/private group intersystem positioning.
