Stealth Patching and Stealth Feature implementations in Elite Dangerous

As many companies I have seen that mayor bugs are ironed out through Stealth Patching in the background, in video gaming those are ironed out via Stealth Fixing, and or Stealth implementations, not letting players know about the changes.

Lately and to be exact in the last 3 days I have observed:

1) Log-offskies are being affected, because now there is a combat log inhibitor making it impossible to log off during combat, and a 20 second in space logout while in combat (Bye Bye Logoffskies).

2) around Outposts now its almost impossible to get through while wanted (this one sucks, and I consider it a bug). While wanted even for a minor 200 cr mistake because a NPC flew through your laser fire while in an RES you will be hunted like a mass murderer. I discovered this one by accident and was quite upset, then referred to my hit and run tactic... I tried 7 times even in silent running I was discovered and being hammered by the station.
a) not only that but I could not move thanks God I went away alive, still cannot understand what hhappened, need to research more on the matter.

3) now the NPC pirates ram you the same way as Some players do in Open Play then the wing hits you and insta kills you. Not a nice feature to be honest.

4) NPC wings now have a fast tracker (fast ship) that interdicts you) and once interdicted you will be hammered by a Elite Anie, and a Python or a Vulture. Where is that feature in the release notes, or in the open? Really frontier are you serious now?

I love when companies do stuff like that and play it on the down low, but hey you could have made the community aware of the station stuff and the extreme pirate wings... the logoffskies is a nice surprise and I even support that, what else did you not tell us?

I went into an outpost (Alfheim system) just day before yesterday with a FF bounty and had no trouble docking then paying it off.

Military outposts seem to be the exception here. They are not as passive as the civilian, industrial or unsanctioned outposts.

Pretty sure I saw a post by Sja a while back saying the ramming was an ai bug.

Found it https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=138337

Nothing new - always been there and irrelevant to the notorious logoffski maneuver. Does absolutely nothing to prevent a successful logoffski.

I went into an outpost (Alfheim system) just day before yesterday with a FF bounty and had no trouble docking then paying it off.

I am not in front of my computer or even logged in, but it was going down towards Giltine like 4 or 5 jumps short. I needed to refuel and after refueling I saw a nice close RES which I thought would be good to pay for the gas... right? Ok so into the RES I go do my 20 minutes hunt the bad guy thing and minutes before I had already decided "This one is the last one on my list as I need to go back home"... this Viper NPC (I play solo) comes and flies through my Beam Laser fire...

As nothing even happened to the Viper, not even a scratch I still get a 200 cr warrant on my and the nice big sign WANTED.. seconds later after "my last Pirate" goes into Valhalla. Hell Breaks lose and I have to hit and run... no problem I am in a A-Spec Roadrunner as I call my ship.

Now I decide to go and pay off my 200 cr in a mining station which I happened to fly by prior of entering the RES, I know that I want to play it save. So I stay at 7900 meters away from the outpost request the landing / docking request (Granted) and now I line up with the landing platform #2... no landing gear down so I can go faster if needed or hit and run if needed.

2.1 clicks away from landing pat... all clear and good to go (sounds silly but better play it save then pay a million on insurance)..1100 meters SCAN DETECTED (a NPC ship and incoming 2 more) scanning and at which point I am having landing gear down and inches away from touching down... LASERS Hit me from the station and the ships... I use everything I have to get into the well know dead spot of the station so that I only have to deal with the ships on my way out. Recovering shields... putting all power to system *(Shields are back up at 75%)... power to Engine, power to Engine... what the heck is happening:? No power to engine... system seems to be frozen, now NPC strangely enough open fire in no firing space and the station does not fire at them. BUG #2

I still sit in the dead angle and the huge lasers of the station just scratch close by... wonderful I love dead spots. Shields are now fully changed. Open Galaxy Map, surf around and close map to set course home again. Power to engine... nothing. power to weapons... nothing. Go into Silent running mode and turn everything off... Fire Dies down, stations stops shooting. Windows go frozen but I still can see the lightshow from the publicity signs on the station. Nice reading M8... nice sign please.

after about 6 minutes space is easy again and I consider a way out... but how? No power to engine cannot even move faster then 0 pre second. Ok Log off and report a bug... logging off and reset the game. Total log out of the game and wait (vape break) after 4 minutes reconnect to game, authenticed and in the game "Select Solo Mode" ok now I am expecting that I am still sitting under the station on my marvelous dead spot and will have to deal with getting out... WRONG, I am 11000 way and cannot even see the station, gosh I think to myself.. that dead spot saved my ass, but now do I really want to try again? Yes of cause I am human... so here I go again, this time the same approach but with Silent running from the very get go... my profile is minimal... again almost at the platform getting my landing gear out as I get the warning NO LANDING GEAR.. Again SCAN DETECTED.... and I don't even try at this point, hit the U key get rid of the landing gear and full power fly away... police follows me for a bit until I lose them. Like this 3 times... but the forth time I gave up and wanted for stealing a lollipop I am not the dangerous murder in space. Ok here I go to the FARM mega station,.... which I would expect to be more dangerous... this time STEALTH MODE on into the "postbox" and once inside deploy landing gear... this time the scan did trigger but as I crossed the save zone into the inner station I was save...

The bug that I am reporting or trying to get behind is as soon as you are wanted, you have a 90% chance to be scanned... Illegal goods 70 scan chance (my own experience). so if you are clean the scanning goes down to a 10 or 20%...

Now I would understand that having a 1000000 cr bounty on my back, yes hell yes, he is Space Lord... or something like that. but 200cr really? and not even because I did something bad.... it was unwillingly FF... and the target didn't even lose shield.

Guys I know you need a money sink, but not like that come on Frontier.

I will post the outpost tonight when I get home...

Thanks for the link, its confirmed... they ram you even if you don't shot at them, specially during docking

Lately and to be exact in the last 3 days I have observed:
1) was there since launch :)
2) outposts are pretty much the same. sometimes you get a hostile ship there. If you can't deal with one hostile ship, tough luck.
3) I've been rammed by NPC condas for quite some time
4) Yes, that one is indeed new and came with wings. Submit/FSD away still works though.

All of this.

Hardly stealth when nothing has changed since wings or before!

Having experienced several major patches by FD since October, I can ensure you that they do not hide changes to the game. In fact, they go out of the way to tell us everything, right down to the smallest detail, until their change logs qualify for a good hour's read, eyes that can withstand the will to bleed from scanning line after line of text in a wall that puts China to shame and at least a passing understanding of coding terminology to decipher many of the things they tell us have changed.

FD do patches that tell us whether one of the audio engineers scratched their backside last week, why they did it and exactly how many baked greebles it took to make it go away.

Stealth fixes don't tend to happen here. And none of the things you listed are stealth fixes.

Except when they changed the commodity supply and demand behavior to make highly profitable trade routes less prevalent and shorter-lived. Whether we agree with that change or not, it was done without a word from FD before the 1.2 update. They still haven't explained it. We're just to assume that's how they intended supply and demand to work, so they quietly "fixed" it.

Edit: before 1.1 rather

Yes I remember that. I remember the uproar. I remember logging in to find my route had gone down in profit a bit. I remember moving on to find another route that was stable for weeks, 7m profit.

I remember they told us about every change to background simulation prior to that day, including the infamous "we realised it wasn't turned on, so we turned it on. Sorry." event that resulted in all trade routes crashing over time. And the update shortly after where they twice tweaked npc trading to allow the markets to settle and slowly return to profitable.

And then I realised, just like you, that they never explained the change a few people complained about. I took my experience of trading, my experience of how they've been open about this before, added it to the fact that FD made no word on it and concluded the reason is because they didn't change a thing.

I still believe that.

I think there has been a couple things they changed and then told us about it afterwards. And that's why I don't have any reason to think they stealth fix. There's no evidence of it. Or, if there is, it's an exception rather than a rule.

In your example, it was perception. Background simulation can have dramatic effects and very suddenly. You can argue it was a stealth fix but there's no evidence of it.

And nothing in the op is a stealth fix and my point was true: FD are very keen to be open about the changes to the game. In some cases they're a bit too open.
