Stealth Underrated, or overpowered?

This video is quite old, pre-silent running/hear 'nerf ' and all, but still relevant. I play cat and mouse with a very competent CMDR in a silent running Viper setup on and off for the better part of an hour in a CZ (skip ahead to ~47 minutes, if you like):

Can't run the same loadouts anymore because of the heat changes, but there are situations where stealth setups can still work...mostly a novelty thing though.

I'm going to say, based on the forum reactions, under appreciated. You come on and share your experience and people won't even believe you lol. I used to silent run in PVP all the time before they nerfed it a bit, I haven't tried it since. But, this kind of motivates me to give it a try again, thanks.

Just had an epic fight with an ASP, who managed to get into SC with 3% Hull... If you read this by accident sir: WELL PLAYED! was a blast of a fight, very exiting, i guess for both of us!

I dont do PvE much, but i know that the gimbal/turrets are affected. Sadly, npc still "see" you, so ist only worth 50% of what ist worth in a pvp Scenario. Its a PvP loadout, becouse hull does not Regenerate over time, which means you have to repair, which is bad for PvE.

Weren't you in the other thread where we were talking about adding stealth plating among other cool ?

basicly this was ironic, defended you in NOT having to upload it. But now that u did, thank you for sharing, sir! Im very interested into any pvp-stealth-Action!

Thx :) It was great fun, for me the Lugh wars was one of the best times I've had in ED, it was that perfect mix of a common cause on one side and crap loads of creds on the other that guaranteed there was pvp aplenty in ships fit for the job.
