With the upcoming release of Steam Hardware (the Steam Link in particular, which allows for players to stream games from their PC to another TV in their home through Big Picture Mode), is there any possibility of either directly supporting, or perhaps providing a workaround, to the utilization of the launcher with Steam? Currently, I have been unable to get Elite: Dangerous to work properly when launched from Big Picture Mode, as it will launch the launcher, and then revert to the standard steam overlay when the game is opened.
Additionally, it would be interesting if Steam's controller typing system could be utilized within Elite: Dangerous when using Big Picture Mode. This would allow for someone to play with a controller while being entirely devoid of a keyboard and mouse.
I understand that this isn't a high priority issue as many players don't utilize Steam at all, but it would be nice to be able to play Elite: Dangerous in different rooms using the Steam Link when it releases in a month. Is there possibly an executable that I can link to directly such that if I kept the launcher logged in and open in the background, I could enter the game directly through Steam? That may take care of at least part of the problem.
