How well does stuff run of a SD card? Not just ED a fair variety of other stuff as well.

Just trying to narrow down which version to get. I know you can do a upgrade on the internal storage but that option will be out until after the warranty runs out.

The 512 seems to be rather expensive for the upgrades. Could live with the 64 if stuff runs well enough off a SD card. 256 seems to be the sweet spot.

sd cards vary pretty wildly in performance depending on the kind you get. it's going to be pretty inconclusive without someone able to give you direct feedback on at least the specific class specification of sd card you'll be using

Samsung Pro Plus MicroSDXC 512GB
SanDisk Extreme Pro MicroSDXC 512 GB or
PNY XLR8 MicroSDXC 512GB
