Steam / Demo

I bought Elite Dangerous on 4/22/2019
I registered just like I was supposed to - via Steam
However, I can only play "Demo" and so far, no one has
given me an answer as to why.
If I try to log in with a Frontier account, I'm told to buy Elite Dangerous
I am beyond frustrated - because Steam won't refund my money because
the launcher was open for more than eight hours even though I never played the game.

Any help?
 
Only thing I can think of is log into frontierstore.net, access your account and look at partner keys or 3rd party keys. That might help get them linked up.
Sorry I don't know more than that.
 
I did as suggested above - nope, didn't work.
However, I did "validate" my codes, and that worked.
From my understanding though, I should NOT have had to validate my codes via steam.
 
There seems to be an issue with Steam. I do not use Steam, but here somebody could solve his problem:

Hope this helps. I am not sure about this - but you seem to need a Frontier Account. (I need one, since I purchased the game from Frontier directly).
Try to make a new account (only if you have none yet), maybe you can use the Steam keys and link them to the Frontier account.

Actually, I used the keys to register that way - though Steam/Frontier state you shouldn't have to do that.
I think someone has their wires crossed lol
