Steam Halloween sale

Hey guys,

Just a heads up that the steam halloween sale is now on until 1st November.

Most PC gamers will probably know all about steam but I remember several people have come back to PC gaming since supporting the kickstarter, and might not know about it.

Anyhow they usually have some really good deals..

Enjoy..

Thx for the Heads Up Cosmos.

Excellent, I'll have a look tonight.

I have never played it but I hear Plants vs Zombies was a big hit.

Would recommend: Left 4 Dead
The Fear collection might be worth a look - tempted by that myself.
Bioshock had awesome reviews, as does the last Bioshock Infinite.
Max Payne games are popular.

I should probably also mention Borderlands: Game of the Year edition.. haven't played it but I heard good things.

Legacy of Kain stuff is re-selling older titles ported from the Playstation 1. I remember loving Soul Reaver on the PS 1. But sadly games ported from console can often result in a bad control system for the PC. Darkstriders, which is sort of along the same lines is an awesome game IMO but suffers on the PC due to a badly converted control system (on keyboard) - although I think it had controller support if you own one.

Natural Selection looks interesting too.

I'm rather tempted to get that Home game @ 49p - like to support Indie developers and will probably be one myself at some point.

Dont forget to look at the metacritic site which can be a useful tool but dont take it as gospel.

It would be interesting to hear of other peoples thoughts on those games I mentioned.

And if anyone has any recommendations please contribute.

:)

Too many bargains..

p.s. when does friend game sharing open over steam?

Does anyone have experience of Magika? I just tried out the demo and it seems really good. Thats on sale too.. £1.99

edit: This game is on free trial and I've just played it for the last 3 hours. I previously heard of it, saw the screenshots etc.. and wasn't particularly struck by it, but I having actually played it now I have to say it is the most fun I have had in a game in ages. Simply awesome.. check it out.

For any old-timers, the remake of Sid Meier's Pirates! is definitely worth a try - if you missed it a few years ago!
