I have Steam, I use Steam occasionally. What benefit will a Steam key give me? I'm not sure I see the point, but then I am very hungover right now...

It will save you 5 clicks to add it as a non-steam game.

Let's just wait for instructions, hopefully we'll hear something today. Frontier usually don't miss deadlines without a couple of days notice that they will do so.

For now there's no need to be rehashing all this Steam stuff again.

If you want steam just wait.
If you don't want steam, just stay out of the threads about it.
