Aye, Steam store is completely broken for me right now, trying to complete my purchase for 2h.
I just managed to get in within a 1 minute window when it was working. It's down again now though... Gaben please pull out the socket and put it back in again!

Yes, this was the error I had. There's nothing wrong with your credit card. Just keep pressing retry on that screen and it may work.
I bought Shadows or Mordor Game of the Year edition for £3.12. Bargin I think. Been waiting for it on a decent discount.
I've heard it is a bit boring after a while - I'll see after it downloads 43Gb lol!

The prices seem to be the same in the Frontier store except that the base game is 12.50 euros i.s.o. 12.49.

I also picked up the Witcher 3 expansion pass for a tenner, and some other misc games. I spent just over 20 quid. This was only due to paypal offering a so called "spend 20 quid with paypal through steam and get £5 off". Only to find that their offer has expired (they exceeded their budget). However, they still claim the offer is available on their website. Go figure.

I don't think you can buy two copies of Elite via Steam. It will just say "Already in library" or some such. I have two Frontier bought accounts and one Steam one, no issues. Prices are identical in both places.
