Steam VR Oculus Quest 2 serious graphics problems - "splitting" or "doubling" when moving head

Like the subject says... it is unplayable. When I move my head, the graphics "split" while my head is in motion so I see a doubling up of the graphics with significant distance between the two. This is not a stereoscopic issue: if I close one eye I still see the splitting. Any idea how to fix this? I launch the game from Steam VR. I use latest NVIDIA studio drivers.

Which OS? SteamVR has, according to the thread on Steam, still issues with Windows 11. What you describe sounds like a performance issue - I get something that might be the same when my system drops into reprojection inside stations.

I'm running Windows 10, not 11. I've read about slightly similar issues with Half Life Alyx and the issue being solved by using DirectX11 instead of Vulkan - I don't exactly understand how or where to change settings for that. I also wonder if it has anything to do with SLI? I have dual 2080 GPUs. Also I am running Steam Link to the headset over a wired connection, if that's any use.

Sorry, out of ideas - I'm running a single 1080ti, driving a HP reverb over HDMI, so completely different hardware. Just that your symptoms reminded me of what I'm seeing when I drop into 30 Hz/reprojection.
