Steam Wont Launch ED

Steam wont launch ED
I since the latest update i cannot start the game. I have uninstalled and re-installed both Steam and ED. I have the full Elite package in my library but get the message.

`Steam Error

An error occurred while updating Elite Dangerous (missing executable)

See the Steam support site for more information`

I have visited the more information and done everything twice now but it still will not load. I have altered my Firewall and Antivirus to allow ED and Steam!

HELP!!!!!

It could also be a missing Steam exe, rather than a missing ED exe, so try reinstalling Steam.

Or a missing Windows exe, try running sfc /scannow

I have many problems with steam, i keep making the mistake of buying though them. One annoying problem is if you change your install dir, Steam won't recognize the new folder resulting in a new download pain in the a.s.s.

you might have more than one steam library folder this happens if you have multiple drives.

The younger generation may have never learned but it's as true today as it was back when I first learned it, decades ago. One gets what they pay for! After purchasing ED for the PS4 and then the Xbox, I upgraded to a gaming pc and thought that I'd follow the throng and but it on steam. Because of my antiquated speed at the time. And the fact that though you select no download during gaming, they still do. Experience crashes constantly every time they decided I needed to know something they thought was important, like when a new game becoming available etc etc etc.

I dropped them deleted them and purchased a copy directly form Frontier, installed it, and have been running the same game since I did it. Only having the same issues others have when issue happen. I now have a considerably faster connection speed thanks to a new company which deliver's my internet wireless. And the issues I may have had on occasions are even less. Yes, prices on steam are cheaper, but the constant bombardment of information relating to things they believe are important but are not. is in a sense a price that I'd rather pay not to have.
