Stereo extra display & fps increase

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but if i use the Stereo extra display funtion i get better FPS than when i turn it off. I loose 20-25 FPS without it enabled. Can anyone else confirm this and possibly have a good reason as to why.

Yes, I've used the 2nd display to stream via twitch for months, it increases FPS and reduces latency. something to do with the balance of cpu vs GPU. I never play without the extra window anymore.

Thanks for the reply mate. Well i will keep it and its a must to all who use dk2. Strange how technology works oposite to you might think sometimes.

Interesting. I didn't notice a difference. I was wondering if it would slow things down if I was downsampling too...

Sorry for the late reply. Im in extended mode, not tested Direct but i get a good 20 FPS drop without it. Ive not used DSR, just went for custom res. Hopefully this has helped some other with there DK2 experiance.

This is odd, when i used that extra window it absolutely killed my fps. Like, low 40 unplayable. That was 1.07 though when i tried it. Maybe i'll have another go at it?

Depends on the horsepower of your GPU/s

The way I see it if you have the headroom graphically give it the extra window, see the difference. Change the extra window resolution too, sometimes reducing it down by half can provide more FPS.

On my setup, I have all settings on ultra or high, no motion blur, low reflections, and 1.5x Supersampling.
Without the stereo extra window, there is severe judder and lower FPS.
With the stereo extra window, no judder, higher FPS.

It worked!

Yay! Worked for me! I was a bit dissapointed yesterday in my first DK2 day because of the sttuttering, but now, omg

love this game. I also tried the Core Parking Manager, but by default my processor was set to 100% so I think it was useless in my case.
