Horizons Sticking them in the hole properly

So I'm trying to put the Unknown Link, the Unknown Artefact and the Unknown Probe in the Unknown Device.

But when I drive the SRV and carefully position it near the entrance of the right hole, I jettison all over the place.
It keeps going to the side and falling on the floor.
It's quite embarrassing. I tried to show my wife how it was supposed to work the other night, and she belittled my technique.
I'm afraid I may have to get someone else to do it for me and that would be humiliating.

Can anyone give me any tips on how it works? How do they get to the right spot?
Is there any video?

There are 3 different green receptacles.

When you drive over one, one of the sparkly hologram thingies shimmers and shows a rough outline of the correct object to jetison the object into. You do that, and this machinery will suck that object in and bung it onto the floaty hologram area you observed previously.

Rinse, repeat for all three green receptacles.

Then you simply scan the central Unknown Device, and off it goes.

Aaaahhhhh! So you don't have to position yourself directly over the top and jettison inside?

Scratch that. Somehow I lost my Probe in the excitement.
Ain't bothered to look for another

Goodness me where do I start?

First of all you cant seem to find the right hole and then you are jettisoning stuff all over the place and finally you lost your probe !!!!

I think its back to the education class for you.

P.S. I sympathise with your poor wife.

Thank you for your kind words.
I'm just so heartbroken at losing my probe that I have returned to my home planet to play with myself.
Not sure if I can spend countless more hours searching for another probe as I would probably jettison that all over the place as well.

Well, I used my SRV to boost on top of the hole\, then I jettisoned the UA in there and it fell off.
She wasn't impressed.

Well I imagine that she wasnt impressed by that lol
