Still having fun, despite lackings

I am a vocal critic and a harsh one too (please, no more bans:()
But I realized after playing a solid 12 hours I have had fun

Me and Bro started out ysterday, I was not eager, but he is still behind ( small brothers  ) but he is actually better at IT than Ill ever be. Anyways started out, I had called to a new "home" and it needed investigation. We actually "explored" all surrounding systems, laid out trade routes, evaded interdictions, killing ourselves because we forgot to ask for "permission" and both of us hardly made a dime... Did we have fun YES...
So you can turn a grind into fun also, just dont focus on the next goal or module, there are many ways you can have fun in this game.
Fun= is not just making credits.

Please go ahead and flame I dont care :D
Cheers Cmdr's

I totally agree.

Two buddies already quit the game, but one of them gave it another try and we had lots of fun.

Currently I parked my Python in sol (stopped credit grinding) and now I'm flying with my little Cobra, hunting some bounties, looking for some people to join their activity.

I'm really looking forward to wings. This game needs some sort of coop-missions and there will be enough players, wanting to hunt down anacondas together and all of them being rewarded for that. It needs some properly working mechanics, that enable us to actually use the multiplayer part of the game.

The moment, when I am able to leave my pilot seat, walk through my ship, walk outside the ship (in a station), maybe walk to a space "bar" (best located near the air-lock, so that you have a great traffic-view, with the main body probably being visible in the background), sit down there, chat with others, maybe have a drink (like the useless, but funny alcohol mechanic in WoW, blurring your view) and just sit there, watch and chill...

Ths will be the moment when I will completely loose my heart to ED.

Or maybe the game will enable us to get hired by another CMDR. I'd love to be hired as a gunner, walking around in others ships, sitting down at the gunner-seat, playing a interdiction-like minigame, trying to hit the targeted subsystem as acurate as possible...

today i was trying to collect my ships together at my new home base, using a little unarmed sidewinder as a taxi which i could sell afterwards. three interdictions, falling into a very dense sun, hearing the ship computer say "main tank drained" for the first time, and hoping there was a scoopable star nearby - it was very different to the normal game i play, bounty hunting and scavenging - it definitely wasn't dull.

Thats exactly what makes this game so great. Its not about beating the mechanics, its about having fun in an awesome environment. Master combat, not by equipment - by skill, bring that tiny bit of cargo to the station, to push forward the goal - who cares about profit, that station got built because you took part. Thats exactly how the game is meant to be played... so why light the pyres here? Good to have you on board and looking forward to fly some missions with or against you... who knows :).

Be seeing you in space commanders!
