STILL having issues with SC near planets

Okay, I figured during Beta they were still tuning the game and optimizing it.. but at this point, I'm getting really annoyed.

I now have this game installed on both a Windows 7 and Windows 8 SSD.. I am using 347.09 latest drivers running 970SLI, and this problem spans both OS.

Pretty much everywhere in the game I get 100FPS locked.. a couple little jitters here and there lower that to mid 90s, but point is, this game plays smooth as it should.

then I will jump to some system.. stutters a bit coming out of hyperspeed and then as I'm flying away from the star, it begins to drop frames. As I fly away, frames pick back up. I find a planet off in the distance. as I near it, the game will pause (hitch) and then continue on.. sometimes the audio pauses as well.

Then I go to fly up close to the planet and my framerate (not in all cases, but most) will plummet a full 20-30 fps. Although in my case that's still 70fps, its stuttery and visibly jarring.

then I do this with other planets and it doesn't happen this way. It may be less pronounced, or not happen at all.

I have tried fresh installs.
I have tried adjusting in game settings.
I have tried the gameconfiguration hack to set the High setting to 128 as per the dev post.
I have tried to update drivers.
I have tried with and without SLI.

WHY is this still happening? Its not a network issue between Open and Solo as it happens with both.

PLEASE someone give me an idea of what else it can be. It has happened for me ever since Beta where Frontier overhauled the planet details and procedural generation.

Is this still happening for other users?? I'm getting super down on the game when this continues to happen as its an immersion breaker and very annoying.

I have not noticed any graphical slowdown or issues when near planets, and my system is not exactly super awesome new.

Perhaps you have a graphics setting that is called more intensely near a planet that your system actually ca'n't handle?

It sounds like simply reducing your graphics might help out.
