Still no Elite Rank from Passenger Missions

I have done at least 10m in passenger missions since the 2.2.02 patch and still have seen no elite rank advance in any category.

I am a Ranger in Exploration and Tycoon in Trading.

If have been 34% Ranger for this whole 10m and 0% Tycoon for the same. If Elite trading is still about 1.1B and Tycoon is about 350m then that would be about 800m to go from Tycoon to Elite. 10m should have gotten me at least 1% because 800 * 0.01 = 8m. I should have seen a couple percent if it was applied towards exploration.

Can someone at Frontier please check my account to see what is going on? Hotshot10101 is my xBox One account.

Thanks.

I think they should introduce an additional Ranking just for passangers. Does not fit anywhere else. And gives another goal for players to reach.

TL:NGR - yes I also think that a small part (say 10%) of the rewards from long range passenger missions should count towards exploration rank, and short range ones should count towards trade rank. If they introduce a 5th pilots federation rank for passengers it should take into account missions completed from the beginning of 2.2.

I am double elite (trade cand combat) and I was hoping long range passenger missions would count towards my exploration elite, even if it was only 1/10th of the mission value counted as exploration rank. I had just assumed that they were progressing my trade rank which was already at elite. I honestly think that long range passenger missions should count towards exploration elite and short range ones should count towards trade rank.

I understand why they didnt make passenger missions count towards exploration rank on a one to one basis, exploration elite is 160,000,000; my first long range voyage with passengers was 75K LY's and netted me 240,000,000 in mission rewards and about 15M in exploration data. If it was a tenth of the mission value that would be 24M towards exploration elite from the mission value, 15M from exploration data , meaning I'd need to do four or five such escapades that means I'd be jonking for over 400k LY's to get exploration elite, which is about three round trips to beagle point and back, seems about right.

I really am not picky about which rank it increases. I am not seeing any increase in any rank though. That points to a bug still existing. Can someone at Elite check my account and let me know?

I see your point Hotshot. It would be nice to get something else out of it besides alot of credits but in my opinion I think passenger missions is just a way to give variety and different scenarios to a single goal. And I think Jayridium is also on to something.

I have done a few missions in my anaconda and from what I have experienced so far you can still progress through your three roles if you equip your ship right. If the mission calls for a short distance with a passenger that doesn't like combat, I would stock up on cargo for trading and focus on goods that are versatile with all economies since I don't know if I will get a different destination along the way. For ones that are over 200lys travel, I would equip my exploration setup and SRV (depending on my ship). And then I find with tourists and pirate types I need to equip combat with heavy shielding, mostly I can get good kills with the pirate passenger mission since these are the ones I get more interdicted.

So for what it is now I'm ok with it since I only have three ranks to go on all the roles.

I guess I am asking for clarification because in patch 2.2.02 Frontier specifically said they fixed applying passenger mission to the proper rank. I would like to know what that meant and why I am not seeing rank advancement if they fixed it. Personally I would like to rank up by taking passengers. I can see your point, but think it would also be very cool if I could be just a passenger carrier and have that increase my elite rank.
