Newcomer / Intro Still trying to start the game?

Thanks everyone,
I got the verification code, and was able to get into the training part of the program. When I try to play the game the play box is red. and nothing happens when I try to pick play.
What do I need to do. I still don't have a ship.

I can think of 2 things:

1) Make sure you have downloaded the game and not just the training. Quit the game and go back to the launcher, next to the button in the left hand corner is a box that says "ELITE: DANGEROUS" above "SINGLE PLAYER COMBAT TRAINING", click on "ELITE: DANGEROUS" to highlight it and the box should change to "INSTALL".

2) I'm completely wrong about that, contact the support (link under the logo on the launcher).

Arg i gotta read these posts correctly in future...

Yeah make sure you log in first.
It should then give you the option of playing ED or Training. ED is the one you want, and should be default. Once logged in press play, otherwise, pressing play will just load the training module.
