Stop! Stop! You People Are Making My OCD Worse!

All I want to do is just get to someplace, where I can sell my data.

The next system I jump to is always undiscovered, not scanned into EDDB/EDDN/EGO, or Frontier. It has 50+ plus objects, half of which are terraformable metal worlds or water worlds. Many have ammonia worlds as well.

It's a million credits each system. Or more. I'm poor. I *need* the money.

The closer I get to cashing in, the more I get everything BUT ELW's, etc.

I *have* to scan them. It's like Zeno's Paradox. Or, Sisyphus And The Rock. The closer I get to cashing in, the more I have to scan. :(

I would be court-martialed for not doing so.

I try to mark the systems. Safety note: Do not drive through the yellow snow in your SRV. Worse than Thargoids.

A simple circle of the ecliptic nets me dozens of worlds, with my buffed sensors. I'm poking along in my 32 light-year Python, so I don't have to pay the shipping charges to Colonia.

You guys have waaay better ships.

None of you honking and jumping are marking the systems. You are not even scanning the primary stars.

All you guys with the 30,000 LY+ Anaconda's (in a single jump) are NOT DOING YOUR JOB. I'm not Altnil, and I cannot scan everything in the galaxy in nine nanoseconds.

START SCANNING THE SYSTEMS! Get in there, and STRIP THEM BARE!

That way *I* can know when just to honk and jump. :)

Just a quick FYI... if your ship goes boom before you sell your exploration data at a station, you will lose all of it (and let me tell you, that stings). So you may want to return back to base every now and then to sell it off. If you're out in the boonies, look for asteroid stations.

Just try not scanning one. Go on, live a little! ;)

We seriously need to petition Frontier to have on off switches for our ships engines and electrical systems, that if arent turned off result in your ship exploding whilst you are offline. :D

I dont need th CR anymore but I must scan every Body lol

Yep that hurts Lost all my Palin Run Scandata by crashing into a 3g planet in my Cutter
My Fault should not of tryed to take external screen shots whilst flying lol

I know it will annoy you, but when I went out to Colonia in 15 ly Python, there were systems I didn't scan any body in and some might just have a random promising looking planet scanned (chances are it wasn't an ELW). I did it for the sake of my sanity and even then I couldn't face the return journey despite not wanting to stay. I took the suicidewinder route back to the bubble and later had my python shipped back. The allure of the deep black has gone for now as most of the interesting stuff is close to the bubble.

I used to be a completionist until I played HALO. The Guilty Spark levels with The Flood did it for me. I eventually beat one tricky section by hiding in a corner and waiting for Guilty Spark to return.

This has already happened to me. Once. Now, I'm paranoid. Since December 2014, it's SOP that *someone* tries to kill me, before I can cash in my data.

It's my alt account that is making the migration. Since it is likely a one-way trip, I'm gathering all the data and cash I can on the way. The route is the Drunken Dog Walk. :)

Cant fault your kill stealing. Those blind Anaconda's eh?

32 lyrs isn't too shabby for a Python either.

PS, I hope your OCD doesn't find out about the economical setting on your FSD...

Wanna know a secret?
A really big secret?
A secret so big it needs three spoiler tags?
Or even four?
Sometimes I just scan the ELWs and leave the rest :D

What to know another secret?
An even bigger secret?
One so big it needs its own nested spoiler tags?
Nested within spoiler tags?
Deep within spoiler tags?
Sometimes I wake scan you, scan those same ELW's and head back to turn the data in first.

I try to avoid this by coming up with alternative challenges; try to make 60 jumps in an hour or, perhaps, jump a thousand Ly without stopping etc.

Great post and a great attitude to playing the game your way.

I wish others on these boards, all the negative whingers, had the creativity and imagination to create their own game.

Creating challenges? I couldn't agree with you more..... rep out.
